Growth Private Equity
Private investing in lower middle-market
growth companies
Kayne Partners Fund (KPF) makes structured, non-control
investments in lower middle-market companies that have reached an
inflection point in their lifecycle, where transformative capital
and the right partner can make a meaningful difference in
accelerating growth and increasing shareholder value. The growth
private equity group at Kayne Anderson has been an active investor
in growth companies for over 10 years, investing more than $500
million since its inception. KPF has a highly experienced team of
eight private equity professionals, with backgrounds in private
equity, consulting, investment banking, and entrepreneurship.
KPF's strategy is to develop relationships with management teams
over time and partner with the select few we have identified as
having the most potential for growth. We are flexible in how we
structure transactions and mindful of what makes the most sense for
the business. Our investments have included structures such as
debt with warrants, preferred equity, common equity, and hybrids of
these structures. Our capital is most often used to finance working
capital, expand sales and marketing efforts, invest in research and
development or fund add-on acquisitions. We generally partner with
experienced management teams in proven, profitable, capital
efficient companies that have achieved $5 to $50 million in sales
and are leaders in attractive industry niches.
