Edward Cerny - Managing Partner

Edward Cerny is a managing partner of the firm's mezzanine financing activities.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson, Mr. Cerny was a Managing Director of Blackstone's Corporate Debt Group, where he was involved in originating, evaluating, executing and monitoring mezzanine finance and related transactions across a broad range of industries. Mr. Cerny managed relationships with a broad set of financial sponsors and financial intermediaries, and served as an observer to the Boards of Directors of many of his portfolio companies. Before joining Blackstone in 2002, Mr. Cerny worked in the Leveraged Finance and Financial Sponsors groups of UBS. He began his career in the Merchant Banking Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Mr. Cerny received a BA from Pomona College, where he graduated with honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, as well as a JD and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

David Petrucco - Managing Partner

David Petrucco is a managing partner of the firm's mezzanine financing activities.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson, Mr. Petrucco was a Managing Director of Blackstone's Corporate Debt Group. Mr. Petrucco managed relationships with a number of financial sponsors, corporate and investment banks, alternative asset managers and other financial intermediaries. He was primarily responsible for sourcing mezzanine opportunities. Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Petrucco was a Managing Director of RBS Securities in New York City, where he worked for four years as the head of the leveraged loan, high yield bond, and mezzanine securities distribution group. Mr. Petrucco was the first hire in this group and was responsible for the construction of these businesses and also for all leveraged underwritings in North America. Before joining RBS, Mr. Petrucco spent 10 years at UBS Securities, in both the US and UK. At UBS he spent the first five years as a banker in the Financial Institutions Group and the last five years as a senior member of the leveraged loan high yield bond and mezzanine capital market and distributions teams. Virtually all of the leveraged activities at UBS were focused on the middle market. During his career, Mr. Petrucco has executed more than $30 billion worth of leveraged and structured financings.

Mr. Petrucco spent the first two years of his career at Manufacturers Hanover Trust as a credit analyst in the Private Client Group. Mr. Petrucco received a B.A. in Economics from Boston College.

Thomas Archie - Managing Director

Thomas Archie is a managing director of the firm's mezzanine financing activities.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2009, he was a Director at Guggenheim Partners from 2005 to 2009. At Guggenheim, Mr. Archie worked in the investment management group, a team responsible for managing over $16 billion in corporate debt with a core focus on sub-investment grade companies. Prior to Guggenheim, Mr. Archie was an Executive Director at UBS in the global syndicated and leveraged finance groups in New York and London. Prior to joining UBS, Mr. Archie worked in leveraged finance at SG Cowen (Societe Generale's investment bank). Mr. Archie began his investment banking career as an analyst with First Union Capital Markets in Charlotte, N.C. where he worked in both the corporate finance and high yield origination groups.

Mr. Archie graduated as a Morehead Scholar from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994 with a B.A. in Latin American Studies and Political Science.

John McNulty - Managing Director

John McNulty is a managing director of the firm's mezzanine financing activities.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2009, he was an executive director in the Leveraged Capital Markets Group at UBS Securities. Prior to joining UBS in 2006, Mr. McNulty worked in the Loan Markets Group at RBS where he was responsible for the origination, structuring, diligence and distribution of middle market financings. From 1996 to 2003, he worked in the Leveraged Finance Investment Banking Group at Merrill Lynch & Company.

Mr. McNulty received a B.A. in Geology with a concentration in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Kurt Prohl - Managing Director

Mr. Prohl is a managing director of the firm's mezzanine financing activities. He is responsible for providing analytical support in the area of master limited partnerships.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2007, Mr. Prohl was a vice president in the energy investment banking group at BMO Capital Markets. At BMO, he focused on securities underwriting and mergers and acquisitions across the energy sector, including the MLP industry. Prior to joining BMO in 2005, Mr. Prohl was a director in the energy investment banking group at UBS Securities LLC and Paine Webber Incorporated, focusing on the MLP industry. He began his finance career with the IBM Credit Corporation in 1989.

Mr. Prohl earned a B.A. in both Business and Political Science from Lafayette College in 1989 and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 1996.

Christopher Pollina - Director

Christopher Pollina is a director of the firm's mezzanine financing activities.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson, Mr. Pollina was a Principal in Blackstone's Corporate Debt Group. Mr. Pollina's primary responsibilities included conducting due diligence and intensive credit analysis on potential middle market mezzanine investments and existing investments within the mezzanine portfolio. Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Pollina worked for RBS Securities in New York City for five years in the leveraged finance and financial sponsor coverage group. In this capacity he was involved in the origination, execution and syndication of leveraged middle market transactions. The majority of the junior securities were retained on the bank's balance sheet. Before joining RBS Securities, Mr. Pollina worked at Credit Suisse First Boston in the financial sponsors group. During his career, he has executed over $3 billion worth of leveraged financings, including over $600 million in second-lien and mezzanine loans across 30 transactions.

Mr. Pollina holds a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers University.

Jenna Young - Vice President

Jenna Young is a vice president of the firm's mezzanine financing activities.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2008, Ms. Young was an analyst in RBS Greenwich Capital's leveraged capital markets group where she was involved in the origination, execution and syndication of leveraged transactions.

Ms. Young graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Finance and International Business.

Elizabeth (Scottie) Wardell - Vice President

Elizabeth (Scottie) Wardell is a vice president of the firm's mezzanine financing activities.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2010, Ms. Wardell was an Associate at Fortress Investment Group, focusing on business and investor strategy, as well as new business development, across the firm's Hybrid/Credit, Private Equity and Hedge Fund businesses. Prior to joining Fortress Investment Group, Ms. Wardell was an investment banking Analyst in the Leveraged Finance group at Lehman Brothers where she was involved in the origination, execution and syndication of high yield and leveraged loan transactions.

Ms. Wardell graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Economics and Psychology.
