Chris Howard is a Partner for Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors'
growth private equity activities.
For the 16 years prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2010, Chris
ran Waterfront Capital, Inc., a private investment banking firm
providing a broad spectrum of financial advisory services to small
and middle-market businesses, including originating, structuring
and executing more than $2 billion in financial and strategic
transactions. Clients included Goldman Sachs' Special Situations
Group, Iron Mountain Inc., Sodexo, Inc., and dozens of
entrepreneur-led businesses. Mr. Howard recently sold Record
Masters of Southern OR, LLC which he acquired in 1999, at a 70x
return on equity. Prior to that, he was with a San
Francisco-based investment bank specializing in mergers and
acquisitions and private debt and equity financing. Previously,
Chris worked at Crescent Capital, a Los Angeles-based investment
firm with over $2 billion under management, and Maiden Lane
Associates, a leveraged buyout fund then located in Beverly
Hills.
Mr. Howard holds an M.B.A. from the Anderson School of
Management at the University of California, Los Angeles and a B.S.
in Business Administration from the University of California,
Berkeley.
