Edward Cerny

Senior Managing Director

Edward Cerny is a senior managing director of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson, Mr. Cerny was a Managing Director of Blackstone’s Corporate Debt Group, where he was involved in originating, evaluating, executing and monitoring mezzanine finance and related transactions across a broad range of industries. Mr. Cerny managed relationships with a broad set of financial sponsors and financial intermediaries, and served as an observer to the Boards of Directors of many of his portfolio companies. Before joining Blackstone in 2002, Mr. Cerny worked in the Leveraged Finance and Financial Sponsors groups of UBS. He began his career in the Merchant Banking Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Mr. Cerny received a BA from Pomona College, where he graduated with honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, as well as a JD and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
